As regular readers and followers of Brinsop’s evolution know we are now offering the manor house out as a corporate venue and it is available from Mondays to Fridays for high level management and board meetings and other corporate events.
To date we have had an interesting mix of a few corporate bookings and just like our holiday guests, the businesses that have used Brinsop Court have been blown away by it. We get similar comments when they arrive such as “the photos don’t do it justice” and “the atmosphere is almost tangible”.
It is always a challenge; how to capture the magic of Brinsop and share it through the website and social media.
Another of our challenges is to reach all those businesses who are crying out for somewhere different to hold their meetings; somewhere suitable and luxurious for their senior management and somewhere to impress their clients or overseas colleagues. We know we fit the bill, but they don’t – yet! And Herefordshire is often completely unknown to them too!
This week, thanks to introductions from Trident Hospitality, Martin and Lorina set off to the wilds of Leicestershire to meet with a venue booking team and a company that offers team building.
The venue booking team were from Ashfield Meetings and Events who are a big international organisation who have a whole range of services including the one relevant to us – venue finding and booking. The people that Lorina and Martin met were smart, professional and switched on and were on their lunch hour! Whilst it was expected that venues who were presenting to them would offer them something to eat, it turned out that our (well Martin’s really) were a hit and they also enjoyed the slide show that Lorina had created on a mini i-pad just for them. Their database holds 30,000 venues across the world – let’s hope Brinsop Court isn’t just a drop in their ocean!
The second visit of the day was to Off Limits. They work with their clients to create events that include off-roading, bush craft and shooting, and Brinsop Court might be an ideal venue for their corporate team building challenges. Our 800 acres and in particular Merry Hill lend themselves to those sorts of ideas. They also run indoor cooking and bake off challenges and of course our three country kitchens would work really well for competitive cooking. Hopefully they will come to Brinsop Court and see for themselves how flexible and adaptable the manor house and grounds are. We would love to develop a relationship with them. Watch this space.
If you know of anyone who is looking for somewhere different to hold their business event, please ask them to consider Brinsop Court, a quintessential English Manor House in the heart of rural Herefordshire!
