After all, we’re the perfect venue for a one-of-a-kind celebration, with our fourteenth-century Herefordshire manor house at the heart of our 800-acre estate. The main house is surrounded by water, while the stunning grounds also include our traditional barn, The Knot.
Winter weddings at Brinsop
There are more benefits to having your wedding in winter than you may have realised. When it’s cold and dark outside, for example, a celebration like this can have a wonderfully cosy vibe. What’s more, you can enjoy a sumptuous marriage feast and have your lighting, décor and textiles done in a gorgeous way to suit the season.
There’s also often a sense of novelty in tying the knot outside the most popular time of year for nuptials and, if you’re at an age where everyone seems to be getting hitched, this avoids ‘wedding fatigue’ among your friends.
Not only that, but if you exchange vows at Christmas time, you can piggyback on the decorations (and, for example the tree and the festive lighting) which will already be in place. Your guests will be in the mood for a party, plus you can savour seasonal treats from mulled wine to mince pies.
At Brinsop Court, we’ll create a sparkling, tailor-made celebration for your winter wedding. Tie the knot in an elegant setting and choose from a host of glamourous wedding locations here where you can exchange your vows, from our splendid candle-lit banqueting hall to our sumptuous Elizabethan library and our delightful Knot Barn mentioned above. There are also a number of lovely nearby churches if you’re planning a religious service.
We do, in addition, offer a number of outdoor ceremony spots, but understandably you may want to think twice about an outdoor event in midwinter.
Corporate gatherings at Brinsop
Although our corporate facilities include extensive amenities for work meetings and the like, we imagine that at Christmas you’re more likely to want to thank your colleagues for a job well done, and their months of hard work, with a festive celebration like no other. (Although you can always round off a day of team-building, strategy or planning with a party.)
Seasonal gatherings make staff feel valued while offering the ideal opportunity for teams to come together in person away from the office, something which isn’t always otherwise possible.
We’ll work with you to devise a celebration that creates an atmosphere that’s spot-on for you and your teams. Party packages include three courses, with dishes tailored to your specific requirements, plus wine for each guest. For an extra charge, let us decorate the venue to heighten the ambience.
Our Knot Barn fits as many as 250 for an evening gathering or can seat 180, while for smaller groups we can section areas off to create a more intimate feel. It’s a magical place where your teams can unwind in style, with live music or a DJ to help things go with a swing, plus a fully stocked bar including some local and regional favourites. There’s also the chance to enjoy personalised cocktails; equally, the bar can remain open until midnight.
The barn is just steps from the main house, accessed via a beautiful wooded boardwalk, so even reaching the Knot becomes part of a memorable experience.
However, if you want to make the manor house your focus, we have superb meeting amenities and luxury accommodation here. Additionally, our partnership with teambuilding experts Off Limits means we can lay on activities in our extensive grounds, so that those who work together forge stronger connections with each other. We like to think we’re a gorgeous place to visit at any time of year, but we can make Christmas extra special, with an incredible backdrop to your celebrations.
