Sam + Sophie

With a manic week of flash floods followed by outbreaks of sunshine and humidity across Herefordshire, we had our fingers crossed that the sun would make an appearance for the Weg-Bohn wedding on June 17th.

Luckily the sun came out to stay just as the bride-to-be made her way to Burghill church in a rare Aston Martin DB6 courtesy of Brinsop’s owner's Husband Martin.

As the bride and groom exchanged their rings not far from Brinsop Court, the house had a small flurry of activity as the outside bar, courtesy of The Barrels, set up ready waiting for the arrival of the happy guests, some room changes were underway, lights in the games room set up ready for the evening’s dancing and the caterers cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

The new bride and groom returned to Brinsop court a few minutes before their guests to take in their wonderful new commitments. A few pictures later, the bridesmaids returned, all looking lovely in white/lace dresses with bright colourful underlay skirts. Family of both the bride and groom (again dressed to impress) arrived to join their new Daughter-in-law/Son-in-law for their reception.

As the car park quickly filled up, guests made their way to the courtyard, which was a sun-trap mid afternoon. On arrival of the guests, live bands performed outside under the canopy, welcoming the guests with upbeat orchestrations to compliment the conversations and the laughter.

Guests were asked to take their seat in the banqueting hall ready for the wedding breakfast. Rococo Catering provided a quintessential British menu. The house was filled with divine smells coming from the kitchen.

Evening guests arrived to be escorted back to The Courtyard (or wander around the estate), joined once more by another live band performing outside, they were then joined with the guests who had finished their triumphant meal and united with their friends and families to continue their celebrations. Speeches followed on the courtyard steps and then the dancing and late night partying began.  Sam and Sophie’s beautiful wedding was a great success. Everybody was so loved up, so happy and mesmerised by their surroundings. Sam and Sophie styled Brinsop throughout with fairy lights, breathtaking sweet pea plants, small cactus potted plants and a collection of inspiring floral displays

Following their big day, the party shook off their hangovers and few hours sleep to hold another special celebration on the Sunday where more friends and family joined them for an extra day at Brinsop Court, enjoying food and more live music, this time supplied by Hereford Big Band.
