The thought of lengthening days and a growing warmth in the air adds to the tranquillity of the spring season and the soft, pastel hues of its palette.
A pastel themed wedding offers a chic and feminine touch, with colours such as soft blue, rose, mint, peach orange, blush pinks, lilacs and light greys… you can create a naturally soft and unique scheme that will wow your guests and make your day perfect.
You could even have your bridesmaids dressed in a pastel rainbow; they’ll love the chance to choose their own colour!

At this time of year, you will be greeted with a wonderful selection of scented and softly coloured flowers to compliment your chosen theme. Spring is the only season that peonies, magnolia, cherry blossom, sweetpeas and freesia are all in bloom, adding beautiful soft tones and lovely fresh scents to your special day.
As we wandered through the grounds of Brinsop Court earlier today, the earth is coming to life and what a joy it is to see and smell the beautiful colours and scents of our spring gardens, where in the coming months, civil ceremonies will take place.

With spring comes the chance to enjoy fun cocktails at your reception on the Wordsworth Lawn here at Brinsop, encircled by the moat and beset with beautiful views across the estate.
To emphasise a soft, spring pastel theme, why not try the simplest, and best loved strawberry basil margaritas!
Take a look at the recipe!
Makes 1 pitcher, or about 8 servings
Empty the limeade concentrate into a pitcher. Add 2 1/2 cans of water and 1 1/2 (18 ounces, or 2 1/4 cups) cans of tequila (or a bit less, if you don’t want your drinks to be quite as strong).
Hull the strawberries, slice lengthwise, and add to the pitcher. Crumple the basil a little in your hands (this will help the basil flavour release into the drink) and add it to the pitcher, too. Place the pitcher, covered, in the fridge overnight, or for at least four hours.
When you remove the pitcher from the fridge, your margaritas will be a lovely pale pink colour. Now all you have to do is serve them and wait for the compliments to pour in.
