Weddings at Brinsop CourtPosted on Thu 05 Jun, 2014, by Amanda Ingham

We have two weddings coming up over the next two weekends here at Brinsop Court Manor House and are looking forward to both - obviously we don’t want to give away any of their secrets and surprises, but getting things ready for them has put us in the mood for a post on weddings at Brinsop!

Weddings can be lots of work for the team here as there are so many more people around, than when we just have an extended family on holiday but nothing quite beats the excitement of the build up as flowers and caterers arrive.

We have tried not to be too prescriptive with the brides and grooms that come here to get married, and are happy for them to share with us their hopes and dreams, and wherever possible requests are granted and desires fulfilled.

We do though ask them to use one of our preferred caterers and that way we know that the caterer knows what’s what and where’s where and can get on with what they are good at – providing perfect provisions!  And the catering doesn’t have to stop at the wedding breakfast. As we are self catering, guests can sort out their own lunches and arrival suppers or can really push the boat out and have the catering requirements for the whole stay sorted out.

Our suppliers are Nick Vaughan from Ascari’s, Eddie from Rococo or Lynn Bullock from up the road.

Whilst we don’t want to be inundated with weddings, we would like to offer the opportunity to have a wedding here at Brinsop Court Manor House during the week for a great price.... you will need to phone and ask for Lorina or Jon in the office and quote the blog to get it .... so let’s just say if you arrive on Monday, get married on Tuesday and leave on Wednesday you will be pleasantly surprised I am sure. Or, come on Wednesday, get married on Thursday and leave on Friday.  Sounds like a Solomon Mundey nursery rhyme!

As you know we haven’t had many weddings here, but two that we have had said:

“Thank you so much for hosting and helping us with our wedding. It really was everything we dreamed of and more. We love Brinsop Court, it will always be in our hearts. Everyone who came said how amazingly beautiful the whole place is. Thank you again for the amazing memories and we hope to return and see you all again soon” Aaron and Laura, June 2013

“Thank you so much for all of your help and support in the build up to our wedding and over the weekend itself. We had a wonderful weekend and our friends that Brinsop Court was a fantastic venue. They are still raving about the place and the children loved the hot tub. We will be back”. Iain and Heidi, March 2014.
