There are so many beautiful things at Brinsop it can be hard to whittle them down to just a few to showcase! And so, in no particular order….
Bailey of course has to be top of the list of things we spy here at Brinsop! As you know if you read the blog regularly Bailey is the biggest of the houses here at Brinsop and the one that has easy access to the library and banqueting hall. One of the best places I can think of to hold a party!
Birds and Bees
When you get to Brinsop, it is immediately apparent that you are surrounded by nature with the mature woodlands as well as the fields and hedgerows around the estate. With nature comes the birds and the bees and the butterflies! Of course all those creatures are evident in lots of places not just here but holidaying here means you have time to sit and watch them going about their business. There are binoculars available, which you are welcome to borrow.
Not just badminton, but other bat and ball games (tennis, table tennis, croquet, football, swingball, cricket, rounders etc.), can all be played around the lawns and gardens. We also have our bespoke treasure trails, four entertaining walks a little further afield from the house. Or if the weather is appalling, then dig out the jigsaws and board games!
One of the joys of self catering is not having set times for meals or set places to eat in! We offer our guests the options of cooking on the AGAs, using standard cookers or microwaves or cook outside in the fire pits and BBQs.
Basket of Logs
We always supply a complimentary basket of logs for your stay and in the colder times of the year when you arrive the fires will be all be made up and lit. There is nothing nicer than arriving at a strange place and seeing the lights on and feel the warmth when you open the doors. Not only is there a basket of logs, but a welcome pack too with cake!
There are benches and outside tables and chairs for each of the properties and eating breakfast outside always seems to me to be the stuff of holidays! If you don’t fancy self catering, you can always opt for a fully catered experience including breakfast.
Jonathan will get out the bikes for you if you fancy exploring the estate using pedal power! Don’t forget to get your bearings… 800 acres is a lot of exploring!
