We had a fantastic weekend with all our family, celebrating my brother in laws 70th birthday. The rooms are very nice, with comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms.
On Friday evening we had a catered buffet ,which was delicious. On Saturday evening we had a catered "gala" evening. The staff were extremely good, discrete, and helpful. The food was lovely, and suitable for vegetarians, celiacs, vegans, and carnivores!  Nothing was too much effort.
We self catered  for breakfast, opting to use the largest of the three kitchens available , for everyone.
The lounges were very comfortable , all had fires ( there is central heating too). Again, we all tended to congregate in the main lounge, enjoying the vast sofas and log burning fire.
There is also a very large games room, with snooker table, dart board and table tennis, with cosy seating area,  and a wall mounted flat screen TV. The youngsters took full advantage of it all.
The grounds are beautiful, the selection of bicycles, great for all sizes, were well used.
There are carp and trout in the freshwater moat, and rods can be supplied if you don't take your own. We will have to save that for our next visit.
The general consensus ? Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful!
Thank you to all the people who made it so!
