With exclusive use of the estate in every wedding experience, each space is yours to shape around your day, whether you're celebrating over a single day or an unforgettable wedding weekend.

For couples planning a traditional church ceremony, Brinsop Court is also ideally located near several beautiful historic churches. St George's Church in Brinsop, St Michael's Church in Breinton, and St Mary the Virgin Church in Burghill are within a few miles of the estate, offering wonderful settings for your vows before returning to continue your celebrations.

Frequently asked questions

Do you allow dry hire?

Unfortunately not. We have excellent bar facilities in both the Manor House and The Knot Barn, and we're happy to discuss any special requirements you may have. We kindly ask that no alcohol is brought onto the estate.

How many guests can we have on our wedding day?

We can accommodate up to 180 guests for your ceremony and up to 250 guests for your reception, depending on your chosen spaces.

Can we get ready on-site if we're booking the one night Exclusive Wedding?

Absolutely. Our Exclusive Wedding allows couples to have access to two feature bedrooms of their choice from 11am on the morning of their wedding. You can also book one of our on-site Ivy Cottage or Wood Cottage for the night before, allowing you to begin your preparations at your own pace before making the short journey to the house.

Do we need to book the Registrar separately?

Yes. By law, you must contact and book the Registrar directly, as we're unable to do this on your behalf.

Can we bring our own wedding decorations?

Of course! You're welcome to personalise Brinsop Court to reflect your style and vision. We simply ask that all decorations comply with our guidelines to help protect our historic building.

Are meals included in your wedding packages?

Yes. The meals included vary depending on your chosen package. Please refer to our wedding brochure for full details.

What time do celebrations finish?

Live bands and DJs are welcome in either The Knot Barn or the Manor House Games Room until midnight.

Do you recommend wedding suppliers, such as photographers, florists and hair stylists?

Yes. While these services aren't provided in-house, we've built wonderful relationships with some of the area's finest wedding suppliers. You'll find our recommended suppliers in our wedding brochure.

Where can our wedding car drop us off?

You can arrive in style right outside the beautiful historic front doors of Brinsop Court.

Are there any restrictions on decorating the venue?

We've installed hooks in suitable locations to make decorating as easy as possible. As Brinsop Court is a listed building, we cannot allow anything to be attached to the walls or beams. If you're unsure about anything, just ask, we're always happy to help find a solution.

Do we need to take our decorations home afterwards?

Yes, we kindly ask that all personal decorations and belongings are removed before departure.

Do you allow candles and tea lights?

Yes. Candles are permitted in the Banqueting Hall and The Knot Barn only.

Are we allowed confetti?

Yes, provided it's either natural petals or biodegradable confetti. Unfortunately, confetti cannons are not permitted.

Are tables and chairs included?

Yes, all tables and chairs are included within your venue hire.

What are the options for ceremony and wedding breakfast music?

We can provide a portable Bluetooth/AUX speaker that can be used throughout the house. The Knot Barn also benefits from its own integrated audiovisual system.

Should we pre-book taxis?

Yes. As we're located in a rural setting, we strongly recommend pre-booking taxis for the end of the evening. There are several local taxi companies in Hereford that regularly collect from Brinsop Court.

Do you allow fireworks?

Yes. We simply ask that you let us know as early as possible so we can notify nearby residents. Fireworks must finish by 10pm and must be supplied by our approved supplier. Please see our wedding brochure for further details. Sparklers are also welcome outdoors.

Is there parking?

Yes. Complimentary parking is available throughout your stay. Overnight guests should follow the signs to Bailey Car Park, while day guests should use the Main Car Park.

Do you have electric vehicle charging points?

Yes. EV charging points are located next to The Knot Barn. We kindly ask guests to move their vehicles once charging is complete so others can use the facilities.

Do you allow smoking?

Smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas only.

Do you have a cake stand and cake knife?

Yes. We provide a rustic log cake stand (approximately 16–17 inches in diameter) and a silver cake knife. Please remember to include your cake-cutting preferences in your wedding planning document, including which tiers you'd like to serve or save.

Do you have laundry facilities?

Yes. Complimentary washing machines, tumble dryers and washing powder are available, and each utility room is equipped with an iron and ironing board.

Do we need to bring essentials such as washing-up liquid or toilet rolls?

No. We provide washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, tea towels, toilet rolls, refuse sacks and, where applicable, kindling and firewood.

Is bed linen provided?

All bedrooms are prepared with luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen, along with towels and bathrobes for your comfort.

What outdoor games are available?

We have a wonderful selection including croquet, cricket and rounders. Simply let your wedding coordinator know if you'd like these set up. Guests are also welcome to fish in the moat or enjoy our on-site tennis court, with rackets and balls provided.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

For the one night Exclusive Wedding Experience and Intimate Wedding Celebration, couples have access to the French and Butterfly Bedrooms from 11am on the wedding day. House guests and day guests may arrive from 1pm. Our bar can also open from 12 noon (on request) in the Games Room, serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

For the two night Luxury Wedding Experience, you'll have exclusive access to Brinsop Court and The Knot from 3pm on the day before your wedding.

Check-out is at 10am.

How do we book accommodation?

Simply contact your Wedding Coordinator and we'll be delighted to help arrange your accommodation.

When is glamping available?

Our glamping accommodation is available seasonally, from mid-April through to October. Please visit our accommodation page for more information.

Do you accept cash?

We're a cashless venue, so all payments must be made by card. We recommend letting your guests know before they arrive.

Do you have accessible facilities?

Yes. Brinsop Court offers an accessible ground-floor super king bedroom (Hawkins), complete with an accessible wet room. Several ground-floor bedrooms are suitable for guests with limited mobility, and portable ramps can be provided to access all four ground-floor wings.

Please note that the Elizabethan Library and Banqueting Hall are located on the first floor. Due to the building's historic listed status, there is no lift.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely! Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Brinsop Court and often enjoy relaxing in front of the Aga just as much as their owners. We can also arrange a trusted dog sitter during your stay if required.
