The Courtyard

The ancient, well cared for courtyard sits in the very centre of Brinsop’s history. Its beautifully lit central pergola is the perfect place for a romantic and meaningful wedding ceremony.

Arrive through one of the old oak doors, perhaps down the stone steps with all eyes on you for a touch of fairytale drama, before making your way to the pergola for the ceremony.

Wonderful for sunny or overcast days. Protected from breezes.

Cricket Pitch Lawn & Cedar Tree

This enormous lawn has room for hundreds! It spans the length of the Court and runs alongside the Bailey walkway and the Moat.

London Plane Glade

This idyllic woodland ceremony area is set in a piece of our adjacent woodland within a circle of beautiful London Plane trees. Just heavenly.

It has rustic seating, beautiful fairy lighting, sheepskins, firepits – you name it!

Distant enough to feel private and special but near enough to be convenient for your guests, this is a wonderfully romantic spot for couples to tie the knot.

Suitable for most weather, except very heavy rain.

Seats up to 180.

The Astley Pergola

This timber-framed pergola sits on the Astley lawn and provides the most lovely place for larger groups. The ceremony can take place using the lovely boardwalk and pagoda and guests can witness the ceremony and still be sheltered from the weather. We will be able to provide sides if the weather is really tempestuous!

The Pergola provides the perfect spot to combine the antiquity of Brinsop Court House with the new of The Knot Barn.

Suitable for all weather.

Seats up to 200.

St Georges, Brinsop

This charming 12th Century church is located close to Brinsop Court. A very short car ride away – about 2 minutes. It is magically set in a field very near our own lake – Church Waters – and has seen many beautiful Brinsop marriage ceremonies.

What Our Guests Say

We fell in love with Brinsop after viewing many other venues. Being local to Herefordshire we had lots of choice but Brinsop had everything we wanted and more! Beautiful grounds, lots of accommodation, the Knot Barn for our reception and the stunning Manor House to spend the weekend with our nearest and dearest. Daisy was a particular joy in helping our day run smoothly and filled us with reassurance and trust. Our only wish is to have stayed longer! Truly the best weekend and we would do it all over again.”

“Absolutely incredible venue and team of staff who made our day absolutely perfect. Our ceremony on the cricket pitch lawn on a beautiful summers day couldn’t have been more perfect, it was everything we’d hoped for and Brinsop staff ensured everything went smoothly. We have so many gorgeous photos of us around the beautiful grounds, Manor House and The Knot. We had our wedding breakfast in the Banquet Hall which was stunning then our evening reception in the beautiful Knot Barn. Our only wish was that we stayed longer. Thank god we had incredible photographers who captured so many memories from our perfect day.”

“When we visited Brinsop, the beauty of the surroundings and the Knot Barn stole our heart. We were truly lucky with the weather, allowing us to have Brinsop’s first outdoor wedding of the year and it was beautiful. Daisy and the team couldn’t have been more helpful without being intrusive. When my brother came came down with covid on the day of the wedding, they did what they could to allow him to FaceTime so he was still there in some way. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, changing the seating plan last minute and also sorting his room booking. The team at Brinsop really are a credit to them and make it much more than just a beautiful venue.
