Do you allow dry hire?
Unfortunately not. We have excellent bar facilities both at the Main House and The Knot and can work with you if you have any special requirements.
Are tables and chairs included in the venue hire price?
Use of our tables and chairs is included in the venue charge.
Are meals included in our wedding packages?
Our simple Recovery Breakfast is included in the wedding packages for overnight guests. A delicious Arrival Supper is also included for a two-night wedding.
Can we get ready on-site when booking a one-night wedding?
Definitely – our couples have access to French and Butterfly Bedrooms from 11am on the morning of the wedding. You can also book our on-site Cottages for your use the night before your wedding, meaning you can start your preparations there, as early as you like, before travelling the short distance to the manor house.
How many people can your on-site accommodation sleep?
We have several options for accommodation for your wedding at Brinsop Court, with 33 guests in the manor house, and an additional 24 guests in our glamping area. We also have availability for 4 guests split between 2 of our cottages, which are a short distance away from the main house.
How many guests can we have?
We can accommodate weddings here at Brinsop from 10 to 180 Day Guests! We can also accommodate up to 250 people for your evening party and even more with the addition of a marquee.
Do we have to book the registrar separately?
Yes, it is a legal requirement that you contact the Registrar separately, unfortunately we can’t do this for you. Please see our recommended suppliers list for their details.
Do you have parking?
There is unlimited parking during your stay at Brinsop! All house guests should follow the directional signs for “Overnight Guests” and park at Bailey Car Park. All other guests should park in the Main Car Park.
How far in advance should we book a wedding at Brinsop?
Depending on availability, it’s sometimes possible to book a wedding at relatively short notice — even within weeks if you’re feeling organised. However, most couples typically book between 6 months and 2 years in advance to secure their preferred date and allow plenty of time for planning.
What are the differences between a one-day vs two-day wedding in terms of what’s included?
Our two-day wedding is a truly luxurious, immersive experience, with almost every aspect taken care of for you. This includes exclusive use of the venue across two days, accommodation, staffing, coordination, and much more — allowing you to relax and enjoy every moment. Food, drinks, and any additional extras are tailored separately to your preferences.
Do you offer custom wedding packages?
Yes — almost all of our weddings are bespoke. Every celebration at Brinsop is unique, and we love working with couples to bring their vision to life.
We regularly host cultural weddings, including Hindu, Jewish, Chinese, and many others, and are delighted to accommodate special traditions and requirements. Over the years we’ve seen everything from helicopters landing on the lawns, to pedigree Valais Blacknose sheep joining ceremonies in the library, to grooms arriving on horseback — and we love every bit of it.
What are the payment options? Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payments are split into three stages:
• 25% deposit to secure your date
• 50% interim payment
• Final 25% balance payment
This allows you to spread the cost comfortably as your plans come together.
Is set-up and breakdown included in the package price?
Yes — set-up and breakdown are fully included, so you can focus on enjoying your celebration without worrying about logistics.
Are linens, tableware, and décor included?
Yes, all standard linens, tableware, and décor are included. Many couples choose to add personal touches or bespoke styling, which we are always happy to accommodate.
Is a tasting session included in the package?
Yes. Our two-day wedding package includes a complimentary tasting for four guests, hosted in our beautiful Queen Anne Dining Room within the house.
Can we upgrade our food and drinks menu?
Absolutely. You’ll have the opportunity to select wines from our trusted wine merchant’s menu and work closely with our talented chef to design a top-of-the-market wedding breakfast tailored to your tastes.
How many overnight guests are included in the package?
Accommodation for 33 overnight guests is included.
Are guest breakfasts included?
Yes. Guests enjoy a full English breakfast, prepared using locally sourced ingredients.
Are cottages or glamping included in wedding packages?
Yes, Ivy Cottage is included in our wedding packages. Two-Day weddings include Ivy Cottage for two nights, while One-Day weddings include Ivy Cottage for the night before the wedding.
