Ivy Cottage

Dating back to the 18th Century, Ivy Cottage was once home to the estate’s gamekeeper. Now lovingly converted into a private, one-bedroom retreat.

Sitting atop a hill with a private terrace and hot tub, the far-reaching views stretch over the estate and woodlands, towards the Black Mountains near Hay-on-Wye and the Skirrid towards Abergavenny.

Inside, you’ll find a homely yet modern kitchen with a traditional cream Aga. Ivy’s cosy sitting room has a warming wood burner with all the kindling and logs you could need for curling up on the sofa with a film or book.

Climb the stairs to the super king bed and beautiful bathroom, complete with walk-in shower, teardrop free-standing bath and plasma TV.

Wood Cottage

Tucked away on the outskirts of the village of Tillington, on the edge of the Brinsop Estate, we’ve recently renovated Wood holiday Cottage.

Here we’ve blended both contemporary and rustic features, including an original wooden beamed ceiling, a cosy wood burner and a private hot tub.

From the terrace enjoy views across the Herefordshire hills and plan your walking trails across Brinsop Estate’s 800 acres. The surrounding towns and villages await.

With its tear-drop bath and super king bed, the cottage is an extra special place to recharge.

What Our Guests Say

“The Ivy cottage was beautiful. Even better than the photos and what we were expecting. We were welcomed with cake and drink and we had everything we needed there. We had the best stay, just wish we booked for longer!

“I wish that we could rate this higher! We had THE most magical stay, it will always be special to us as we actually got engaged whilst we were here! We then enjoyed a really intimate Christmas in the cosy cottage. It has everything that you need and everything that you would want. From the hot tub in the garden, the fireplace in the lounge, the huge bath and big cosy bed… honestly we were so devastated that we had to leave on Boxing Day! We had a slight issue when we arrived in that one of the outside bulbs had blown, but the hosts were swift to solve the issue and were so lovely and welcoming, suggesting the local pub for us to visit whilst we were there. As soon as we arrived at the cottage we instantly fell in love with how special and charming it is. 1000/10, we cannot wait to return on our anniversary!”

“This was our third stay at Ivy Cottage… as gorgeous as always. We took a peaceful break away from parenthood and busy lives for a tranquil stay in this beautiful piece of countryside. From the comfiest of beds, to waking to the sound of nothing but birdsong, to breakfast cooked on the Aga, a breathtaking walk up Credenhills, a glass of wine in The Bell, watching sunset and the stars come out from the hot-tub, to the stunning bath then an evening in front of the log -burner…. It doesn’t get better than Ivy Cottage. We will be back for a fourth visit very soon.
